Reducing Unsafe Abortion and Expanding Acess to Reproductive Health
GIWYN and the Coalition Organizations, aim to save women’s lives by preventing unsafe abortion, reducing misconceptions, gender stereotypes and stigma. GIWYN works with the Coalition to expand collaborate and partner with national and international allies –Women Help Women (WHW), to implement activities towards achieving gender equality targeting Reproductive and Sexual Health and Rights of women and girls. Through the Coalition, GIWYN mobilizes and coordinates organizations (both national and grassroots) and individuals to commemorate September 28, Glocal Campaigns that bring attention to reproductive rights issues. GIWYN engages young people in a range of participatory activities, to learn about healthy sexuality in Nigeria.
The Amplify Change Funds this project to reduce unsafe abortion practices in Nigeria. The National Coalition engages in a range of harm reduction strategies and community empowerment initiatives
to expand knowledge in reducing abortion stigma, advocate for legal changes, ethical issues and human rights related to safe/unsafe abortion practices and expand task shifting on Reproductive Health
